What Notification Channels Does PingPing Support?

PingPing supports multiple notification channels so you receive downtime alerts wherever you and your team are most likely to see them immediately. You can configure as many channels as you need, and assign different channels to different websites.

Built-In Notification Channels

Email - The default channel. Every PingPing account gets email notifications. Useful as a fallback, but email alone is risky for time-sensitive alerts because messages can land in spam or go unread for hours.

Slack - Connect PingPing to any Slack workspace and route alerts to a specific channel. Ideal for teams that live in Slack. Everyone sees the alert at once, and you can discuss response actions in the same thread.

Discord - Works similarly to Slack. PingPing sends alerts to a Discord channel via webhook. Popular with developer communities, indie hackers, and smaller teams that use Discord as their primary communication tool.

Telegram - PingPing sends alerts as Telegram messages. Useful if your team prefers Telegram or if you want alerts on mobile without installing a separate app.

SMS (via Vonage) - For critical alerts that need to cut through notification noise, SMS is hard to beat. PingPing integrates with Vonage (formerly Nexmo) to send text messages to your phone. See our SMS setup guide for configuration details.

Webhooks - PingPing sends a JSON payload to any URL you specify when downtime is detected or resolved. This lets you integrate with any system: trigger a PagerDuty incident, post to Microsoft Teams, log to a database, kick off a restart script, or connect through Zapier to hundreds of other tools.

How Alerts Work with 30-Second Checks

When you use PingPing's fastest 30-second check interval, your notification fires almost instantly after downtime is confirmed. From the first failed check to alert delivery is often less than 5 seconds. In practice, this means you can learn about an outage and begin investigating before most of your users even notice.

Account-Wide Channels

Notification channels are configured at the account level. Every PingPing plan includes unlimited team members, so your entire team can stay informed through the channels you set up. You can assign different channels to different monitors, for example, SMS for your production site and email-only for staging.
